TERM 2 JUNIOR COMP
The final round and presentations were held last Tuesday for the Term 2 junior competition.
A bleak afternoon saw less than usual numbers turn out for the presentations but still managed more than 100 which was great to see.
Results from the comp are as follows:
Blue Division winner - Emily Thomson on a countback from Toby Nash.
Black Division winner - Brenden Weekes, runner-up James Ward on a countback from Gabrielle Noakes.
Green Division winner - Jack Kearney, runner-up Bryce Taylor.
Orange Division winner - Jessica Lister, runner-up Ryan Lydford.
Red Division winner - Badih Mansour, runner-up Lachlan Campion.
Silver Division winner - Patrick Jones, runner-up Jed Rauchle.
Singles and Doubles Division 1 winners - Emilie Noakes and Jess Macdonald, runners-up Jess Wray and Bec Kiley.
Singles and Doubles Division 2 winners - Alex Warren and Dan Barker, runners-up William Olson and Bailey Crocker on a countback from Jai Whatling and Jacob Smede.
There were also 10 ‘Great Effort’ trophies awarded to players who have shown nice sportsmanship and effort during the term.
The recipients of these trophies were Gabrielle Noakes, Ryan Brewer, Jasmin Carroll, William Olson, James Ellery, Sarah Jones, Patrick Lydon, Jai Whatling, Harry Williams and Conor Hamilton.
TERM 3 JUNIOR COMPETITION
The Term 3 Competition will commence Tuesday, July 28. The format will be singles only for half an hour or singles and doubles at either 4pm or 5.30pm.
Names must be in by this Friday as the draw will be compiled this weekend.
You can leave your name on the list at the canteen or phone Helen on 6862 5262.
JUNIOR COACHING
Junior coaching will continue in Term 3. If you would like to learn to play tennis or brush up on your skills then lessons are on Mondays through to Friday from 3.30pm to 7pm.
There are half hour or one hour sessions in groups of four and also private half hour sessions available.

FREE FRIDAYS
There will be no free Fridays during the holidays. If you would like to book a court to practice you may do so by seeing the friendly staff at Parkes Cellars on Dalton Street from 7am to approximately 9pm any day.
