Result of social bowls played this week were Coral Garroway and June Burgess defeated Liz Thornberry and Dawn Parker.
As Pennants have now finished next week will be normal social bowls. Hopefully most Pennants players will come for social bowls.
In Pennants last week, Cowra defeated Railway Diggers 42-35. Shirley’s team had a win but Evelyn’s team lost.
Last Thursday, Canowindra defeated Ralway Diggers at home. Shirley’s team were 21-21 going into the last end.
Shirl got two shots with her last bowls. What a great effort on Shirl’s part. Sadly the other team lost.
This means Cowra will be the winner of the No 4s this year.
On April 2 to 4, CWD Singles at the Parkes club.

Parkes Womens Bowling Club
Pennants and social bowls were played last Tuesday. 26 ladies were on the green and a good day was had by all. Most won Easter eggs off our Trading Table.
No 3 Pennants Parkes Gold played Parkes Green and Green won 41/30.
On Thursday last, Parkes Gold travelled to Forbes had an exciting 39/38 win over Forbes, making Parkes Green the overall No 3 Pennants winners.
Parkes Green Pennants team games: Marg Hawken, Kate Keogh, Betsy Johnstone and Audrey Jones def Kath Hutchison, Helen Heraghty, Liz Byrne and Cherie Frame.
Hilda McPherson, Mavis Gray, Julie Hamilton, Joan Simpson def Rhona Went, Brenda Davies, Robyn Morgan, Pat Cooney.
Social bowls: Elaine Burgess, Beryl Watts and Rosemary Mitchell def Ann Everett, June Burgess and Ellie Hetherington by two shots.
Merrilyn Rodgers and Ann Wright def Margaret Morrison and Lorraine Heald.
Competition winner was Beryl Watts and runner-up Hazel Bateson.
Friday, March 30, is committee meeting at 2pm. Social bowls tomorrow.

April 2 to 4, the District Singles will be played at our club. Do come down and see some good bowls. We wish each girl playing good luck.
