JUNIOR GOLF
Mr Freck’s final clinic for the year was an eye opener for first timers such as Jake Hodge and Michael Murphy, helping them develop a solid basic swing.
The overall classes focused on accuracy and distance utilising the distance markers from 50 to 150 metres made possible by the efforts and expertise of club member and surveyor Rick Glover.
Clinics will resume in February with the third Sunday of each month set aside for their continuance.
During the third round of the Australian Masters at Kingston Heath, the cameras showed Tiger Woods lining up his putt on the 14th green and standing against the ropes in the gallery immediately behind the world’s No. 1 was Kyle Bell complete in faded cap.
The next two Sundays are normal nine hole junior events leading up to the busy schedule that is December.
Starting with the 6th of the month is the trip to Bathurst for their Junior Open Tournament and nominations are being accepted this Sunday.
Then it’s the junior club championships the following week, 13th. and break- up day with the Leaguies on Sunday 20th.
