Local rider Debbie Blaxland competed her Paint Bred mare Kildari Three of Diamonds “Dee” at the SHC Country Hack Championships at Dubbo on November 1, 2008.
Debbie and Dee had a very successful show winning Champion in the 2007 Newcomer Show Hunter Hack class.
Due to EI last year the show was cancelled and the 2007 classes were run this year at the show.
She also had a win in the Preliminary Show Hunter Hack class, second in the Amateur Owner Show Hunter Hack Class and also was Top 10 Finalist in the Open Show Hunter Hack Class.
Debbie’s parents Ian and Rhonda Kilby of Gilgandra and formally of Bogan Gate bred the mare in 2003 and Debbie took her on in 2007 when she was newly broken in.
She has been training her since in preparation for these larger shows.
Debbie also competed “Dee “in August at the Australian Paint Horse National Show in Dubbo and was National Champion in the Paint Bred ridden Hack Class for the second year running, and also won three Runner - up Champion’s in the Paint Bred Dressage class’s.
Debbie and “Dee” competed at the local Agriculture shows during August and September with numerous Champions and Reserves.
