Last week tennis players experienced much cooler playing conditions in Round 4 of the Monday and Tuesday night comps, but nevertheless there were a few red faces and there were even some brave players seen in their t-shirts!

MONDAY NIGHT VOLLEYS
Michael Green and Luke Evans continued their winning run with a clean sweep over Shaun Ellery and Richard Hamilton, and in the process giving them a 1-point lead on the pointscore.
Right behind them are Ian and Jacob Ward who won their match last week against Jake Thompson and Alex Evans by 3 sets to love.
There are only two more rounds before the playoffs and the top teams will be keen for the exclusive first position.
MONDAY NIGHT ACES
It was all even-stevens between three pairs last week with no clear-cut winners.
Barry Coghlan and Laurie Wakefield, and Craig Thornton and Jake Symington all won 2 sets and scored 17 points, while Mark Job and Peter Evans also won two sets and scored 16 points.
Greg Phillips and Jo Macdonald were at the receiving end of the barrage and only managed 3 points for the night.
MONDAY TOP SPINS
Richard Draper and Sandra Massurit scored a hard-fought 3 set win and added 18 points to their tally last week.
Di Tillman and Amanda Draper took their match with Richard and Sandra down to the wire, losing 6/5 but came up with one win and a total of 15 points for the night.
Despite winning two sets, Geoff Massurit and Alan Smith were next best on 13 while Gail Smith and David Kent scored 2.
MONDAY SMASHERS
Sub Nicole Tolhurst and Sylvia Sgarlata scored a three set win last week, while the mother and son combination of Katrina and Matthew Allen scored 2 sets and a total of 14.
Christie Baker and Eleanor Grady, and Scott Massurit and Shirley Lamb made it a friendly night and all ended up with 9 points.
MONDAY NIGHT HOT SHOTS
Last week saw some very close sets but it was Linda Bowd and Sharon Scott who came through with a 3-set win from Lynelle Barklimore and Christine Bowd who scored a credible 16 points.
Right behind them on 15 points were Sue Hogan and Alicia Peters while Joan Bowd and Sarah Bowd came home with 9.
