Parkes recorded double its average rainfall for the month of June with 104.4mm (417.6-points) the official Bureau of Meteorology figure.
The average rainfall figure for June is 52mm (208-points).
Rain was recorded on 18 days last month with the heaviest fall, 24.6mm, registered to 9am on Sunday, 7 June.
Other heavy falls occurred (to 9am) Wednesday, 3 June, (13mm), Thursday, 4 June, (14.8mm), and Monday, 22 June, (15mm).
June’s rainfall figure was only the second month this year to record above average falls.
February was the other occasion with 57.4mm (229.6-points) – some 12.4mm above the monthly average of 45mm.
Last month’s 104.4mm boosted the six month total to 290.3mm (1161.2points). This is 3.3mm above the half-yearly average of 287mm.
