‘Swimming and water safety awareness are valuable skills that may one day save your child’s life,’ said Joanne Barrett from NSW Sport and Recreation.
‘Swimming is also an excellent form of exercise and a really fun activity.
‘Swimsafe classes cater for children from 18 months of age and up.
‘The program provides instruction in all aspects of swimming – from water familiarisation through to stroke correction.
‘Swimsafe offers a supportive and caring environment for children to learn new skills, build confidence in the water and have lots of fun.
‘As the weather warms up, more and more families will be taking trips to the beach or local pool, so this is the perfect time for children to learn how to swim or to build on the skills they already have.’
