Organisers of the CountryLink Parkes Elvis Festival announced this week that Joh Bailey will be a guest judge at the TransTank Miss Priscilla Dinner.
“Joh is Australia’s most famous hair stylist,” organiser Tiffany Slack-Smith said.
“Joh Bailey is sometimes known as the ‘stylist to the rich a famous’ and it’s not that surprising with clientele such as Elle Macpherson, Linda Evangelista, Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton John, Eva Longoria and Paris Hilton,” she said.
“He has also been stylist to the most famous person in the world the late Princess Diana of Wales”.
Joh Bailey's name has become synonymous with not only beautiful hair but with glamour and style. He has been head stylist on Foxtel’s Project Runway and has regular appearances on other television programs such as Kerri-Anne and 20 to1.
Tiffany recently met Joh at a conference where he was talking about the do’s and don’ts for hair and fashion. “We started chatting and I told him about the Miss Priscilla Dinner and invited him along to judge the Priscilla Hair competition and he said yes straight away!”.
“He has a great personality and will be loads of fun on the night”, Tiffany said.
The committee are very excited that Joh will be joining the panel of judges which also includes Cheryl Le Court from Mayo International and a representative from DeLorenzo.
“The news that a celebrity such as Joh Bailey will be judging the competitions just shows how serious they are getting,” major sponsor, Neil Harrison from TransTank said.
There are some fantastic prizes on offer for the competition winners. “Our most recent festival sponsor, Quality Resort Sails in Port Macquarie, is giving one lucky competition winner a seven night holiday in one of their luxurious waterfront rooms which includes daily breakfast in Spinnakers Restaurant.” Tiffany said.
“We also have holidays to the Horizon Apartments in Narooma and a weekend away at the Self Realization Meditation Healing Centre in the Blue Mountains and a trip to Sydney that includes flights, accommodation, a haircut and style with Joh Bailey himself!”.
Tickets for the Miss Priscilla Dinner are $50 and are on sale from the Parkes Services Club from today.
“The dinner has limited capacity so if you intend on going in the competitions or would like to attend the dinner as a spectator call the Parkes Services Club and book your tickets today”, organiser Anne Steel pointed out.
“Each year there is a mad rush from people trying to buy tickets at the last minute after it’s sold out. The club already has a waiting list so we need to ensure that all of our competitors have seats,” Anne said.
Thanks Roel,
Regards,
Tiffany

Hi Roel,
Clair Tirrell is heading off to Sydney this Sunday and will be in a photo shoot for Shop Til You Drop Magazine on Tuesday. I’ve written a small article if you wanted to include it in Friday or Mondays paper. If you would like to include a photo, Clair has asked for the attached photo to be used rather than the one you have on file. The photo was taken by Sue Whatling.

“How many women get the opportunity to model for a prestigious magazine like this” said Tiffany Slack-Smith.
“Clair is a beautiful young woman so who knows where this will take her. We might see her on the cover of madisson magazine one day”
Clair will have her make-up and hair professionally done by a team of stylists and the magazines Managing Editor has chosen the clothes, shoes and accessories that Clair will be modelling.
"I'm not sure what to expect as this is a first for me but I'm really looking forward to the modelling and thankful that I have this opportunity" said Clair.
