Stroll down memory lane

10 Feb, 2012 08:17 AM
With the hustle and bustle of modern day living, sometimes it’s nice to take a stroll down memory lane.

And that’s exactly what you can do at Craft Corner this month.

The ladies have a charming display of handmade items, most from the early 1900s.

Amongst the items exhibited is a handmade cushion cover embroidered in Egypt. The war souvenir was sent home by May Wood’s great uncle Charlie Colby to his sister, Nell in 1916.

Other pieces include baby clothes, bonnets, lace and crocheted items.
