Elvis Fans will gather in Parkes this weekend for a tribute to Elvis Presley – a weekend of commemoration timed to coincide with his death.
Organisers have titled it the Memories of Elvis Weekend from today Friday 15, to Sunday, - 17 August.
The highlight event will be an Elvis Tribute Show and dinner performed by Baz-a-Nova at the Parkes Leagues Club tomorrow night at 7pm.

Late in the evening, after the Elvis Tribute Show, fans will converge on Parkes’ Elvis Wall of Fame for a Candlelight Vigil to commemorate the King.
The Elvis Lennox Collection of Elvis Memorabilia will be open to visitors throughout the weekend between 8am-6pm.
This private collection is a must-see and features hundreds of unusual and rarely seen items, such as Elvis costumes, jewellery, records and commemorative items.
Entry is by gold coin donation at 16 Wentworth Street, Parkes.
An Elvis Church Service will continue the tribute to Elvis Presley at 9am Sunday morning in the Uniting church Hall.
Elvis fans will wind up their weekend on Sunday with an Elvis Trivia Morning Tea at the Parkes Leagues Club. Entry is $15, pre-book at the Parkes Leagues Club (02) 6862 1499 or pay at the door.
