More than 140 people will attend a special ceremony at the Parkes Leagues Club tonight to pay tribute to former long serving Mayor of Parkes, Robert Wilson.
Mr Wilson was killed in a car accident late last year and the Leagues Club has decided to honour his memory for his untiring efforts for the community - and the assistance he provided to the club - by naming the upstairs auditorium after him.
The Robert Wilson OAM Auditorium will be dedicated and a plaque unveiled.
Mr Wilson’s wife, Vicki and children, Ben and Trudy, and the extended family will be present to witness a reflection of Robert’s life, part of the evening program.
