The Parkes Olympic Pool officially turns 75 tomorrow.
And as with all big birthdays, there will be a cake to celebrate.
Construction on the Parkes Pool started on May 28, 1934, and it was officially opened on January 16, 1935.
The opening was performed by the then Minsier for Local Government, the Hon. ES Spooner.
Parkes Mayor Ken Keith will cut the birthday cake at 10.30am tomorrow and has invited anyone who has had an association with the pool over the years to come and join in the party.
