The 'TransTank Miss Priscilla Dinner' will be held tomorrow night at the Parkes Services Club.

The dinner sold out in a matter of weeks after tickets went on sale.

Months of planning have gone into making the 2009 Miss Priscilla Dinner an event not to miss!

Guests start the night with a glass of Cassegrain wine and nibbles while visiting the exhibits in the foyer then a delicious two course dinner in the newly refurbished Starlight Room.

After dinner, guests will be entertained with a fashion parade by Byrnes Clothing, 141 on Main and Prestige Boutique and the wit of the Rhymer from Ryde.

The evening will be hosted by local comedian Dooley Thomson and live music by Silas Lulic and his fabulous dancers.

Each dinner guest will receive a ‘goodie bag’ full of hair and beauty product samples.

“Our dinner committee have been busy collecting thousands of product samples from the local chemists, hair and beauty salons,” Anne Steel from the Parkes Elvis Festival Committee said.

There are two competitions that will take place during the dinner.

The ‘Priscilla Hair Competition’ which will showcase the best Priscilla hair-do by local hairdressers and the sashing of ‘Miss Priscilla 2009’ being a highlight of the evening.

The Miss Priscilla winner will become the official face of the festival and will make special guest appearances at some of the major events.

There are some wonderful prizes for the competitions including a holiday, beauty treatments, hampers of hair and beauty products.

The major prize for the Miss Priscilla competition is return flights to Sydney on Rex Airlines, overnight accommodation and a photo shoot in Shop Til You Drop Magazine.

“We are extremely excited to be able to offer the winner of the Miss Priscilla Competition the opportunity to be photographed for a national magazine,” Anne said.

“The winner will have her hair and make-up professionally done and will appear in an upcoming issue wearing the latest fashions.”

Director of TransTank, Neil Harrision is sponsoring the Miss Priscilla Dinner for the third year in a row.
