Internet problems continue

28 Nov, 2008 07:38 AM
The Federal Member for Calare, John Cobb, said he was angry to hear that 1,600 Gobush Satellite internet customers had been faced with further difficulties.

‘IPSTAR tells me they’ve had staff working overtime since last weekend to fix the situation and the company wants people to leave their computer modems turned on so they can be remotely fixed, and also to reboot their computers,’ Mr Cobb said.

‘We have heard that equipment might have been removed from Gobush offices, which would have caused a problem for the 1,600 customers on an interim service being provided by IPSTAR.

‘Customers have lost their internet and email access. This whole scenario is totally unsatisfactory.

‘We actually thought the problem was resolved earlier this month, but we now hear that’s not the case. It is an unsatisfactory situation for people to be plagued by internet service concerns for virtually six weeks.’
