Commerce will hold its Annual General Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9, at 7pm in the Clarinda Room at the Coachman Hotel.

Membership currently stands at about 100 members with between 15 and 30 members actively participating in monthly meetings and activities.

Some of the achievements for 2009 have been the successful running of the dinner with keynote speaker held at the Parkes International where over 90 people attended.

The running of the street carnival and parade prior to Christmas and the very successful Shop in Parkes promotion run leading up to Christmas was also very successful.

There were 40,000 tickets printed for this promotion and it’s estimated that well over $15 million went through this promotion.

The other ongoing project of the PCC is the PA system for the main street.
